Hello,
Canada is known as a quite expensive location for VPS and servers. 
I managed to find GTHost.com Montreal vps - They seem to be offering good solutions and have very good value for money.
Have you ever used them?

VPS accounts from qhoster.com and ownwebservers.com are worth trying.
They are the only web hosting companies that are web hosting and support that our websites need. Also, they provide a 24/7 support service.
